Those with a Preble County District Library card will soon have access to over 8 million additional books, DVDs, audiobooks, and CDs through a statewide partnership among public libraries. Beginning Thursday, Oct. 9, the PCDL catalog system will be part of the Serving Every Ohioan (SEO) Library Consortium, which connects 89 libraries with 201 physical locations across 46 counties in the state.
Member libraries of the SEO Consortium share books, movies, and other library items across the entire state with an efficient online catalog and delivery system. What that means for PCDL cardholders is more available copies of popular books, DVDs, Blu Rays, audiobooks, and CDs and better access to less popular titles.
As part of the collaboration with SEO Libraries, PCDL will no longer be a part of the MORE sharing system. As of Oct. 1, patrons will no longer be able to request items via the MORE system, and all requests from other library systems will be through those in the SEO system.
