Books and Other Donations
We accept gently used materials for book sales with proceeds benefiting our programming budget. Or you may chose to donate local history materials to the Preble County Room our genealogy department.
Cash and checks donations are gratefully accepted. These support our general fund. You can also specify what you would like your donation to support.
Legacies
Please consider making Preble County District Library a part of your lasting legacy.
Friends of the Library Groups
The focus of each Friends group is to benefit their community's library. You can support them by purchasing books or baked goods at their sales. Or by volunteering your time to help them.
If you would like to join your local branch's Friends group please contact the corresponding branch librarian. We have Friends for Camden, Eaton, West Alexandria, West Elkton and the Preble County Room.
Adopt-a-Book
Share your favorite read with someone else.
Book Sales
Proceeds from books you purchase support your local library's programming budget and make events like Dora the Explorer Explores Preble County and Fire Prevention Awareness possible. Often a library can purchase special items such as a new fax machine, holiday decorations, or a children's rug with the proceeds. Times and places.
iGive
Do you shop online? If you do, consider going through iGive. The company you purchase through will donate a designated percentage to your library at no extra cost to you. Select from over 680 stores including Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Ebay, Expedia, Gap and many more.
Old Cell Phones and Print Cartridges
Donating your old print
cartridges and cell phones to the library will help the Library earn free
computer equipment or cash. The library participates in a recycling program for
nonprofits that allows us to earn money or points that can be collected or
redeemed for equipment in exchange for these items.
Annual Campaign
Every September our library will be asking for donations to support our basic operating expenses: materials, computer connections, etc. Due to the state's budget cut backs, our funding has been reduced and we need your help to continue to provide the same quality of service to which you are accustomed. Our libraries cannot exist without your support.
Cookbook
Get your copy of our cookbook "Recipes and Reads" from the Preble County District Library the Bicentennial Edition. Copies are on sale at all branches for $10.00. What's Cookin'?
