Preble County District Library Outreach Services

The Preble County District Library Outreach Services is a sublending agency for the State Library of Ohio's Talking Book Program. This program provides FREE talking book machines, tapes, records and Braille materials to qualified individuals.

To qualify people must meet at least one of the following criteria:

legally blind
visually disabled
physically disabled
reading disability

Applicants must be certified by a health care provider or other qualified person.

Materials may be borrowed at no charge from the Cincinnati Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.

To supplement, over 2,000 books on tape (which will work with talking book machines) are also available at any Preble County District Library branch location.

Homebound Services for Seniors

If you are:
· a Preble County Resident
· homebound
· 60 years or older

and want to have library materials delivered to your home by library staff or volunteers, please contact:

Nursing Home Services

Preble County District Library Outreach Services delivers library materials to nursing homes in Eaton on a regular basis. We work with the Activities Directors to provide materials for programs and special projects.
Services we provide:

· videos/ DVDs
· books on cassette/ CD
· Bi-Folkal kits
·music CDs
·general information
